Transitional Living Program/Independent Living Program
The ALABAMA DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES, (hereinafter referred to as “the Department”
and “DHR”) invites you to submit a proposal to provide a total of one hundred sixty (160) statewide slots of
Transitional Living Programs eighty (80) slots and Independent Living Programs eighty (80) slots to children
in the custody of the state. Transitional Living Services may be provided in a residential setting or in an
alternative setting, such a specialized foster home care. A more complete description of the services sought for
this project is provided in Section 3, Scope of Project. Proposals submitted in response to this solicitation must
comply with the instructions and procedures contained herein.
