Report Card Rating System For Use For All 67 Counties
The quantitative and qualitative items being used for report card
calculations are indicated below. There are 3 safety items, 2 permanency
items and 2 qualitative items, for a total of 7 items.
It should be noted that the 5 quantitative items are among those currently being
used to determine the data threshold calculations. The two qualitative
items are derived from average ratings given in the cases reviewed (or, quality
service reviews - QSR’s) conducted by the county QA committee across a given
reporting period.
Each individual item has a scoring rubric of A to AAAA. Thus each item
is first rated and a mathematical total obtained. The total report card
score is then calculated by simply dividing the mathematical total by 7,
resulting in an overall average, or final "report card grade". In
completing the calculations, "rounding up" only occurs in the determination of
the final "report card grade". In calculating the final "report card
grade", the scoring range is as follows:
